I know that it can be a little hard to believe that someone could recover from Pudendal Neuralgia. For this reason I've included medical proof of my condition on this website.

The fact is that people do recover from Pudendal Neuralgia. However when one spends time in online forums it certainly doesn't seem that way. This is because those that recover rarely ever share their stories (after all, if you recovered, would you really want to spend your time being reminded by other PN sufferers of what you'd just been through?)

For this reason I wanted to take the time to encourage those still suffering from the condition that recovery is possible!

Below is the prescription from the doctor who diagnosed me, Dr Jean-Yves Maigne. As you can see, he suspected that I was suffering from Pudendal Neuralgia on the left side of my body.

This is the certificate that my main doctor, Dr Claudia Schmeer, wrote for my insurance company, certifying that I was suffering from an acute illness. As you can see, she was unable to place a prognostic on when I might recover. In addition to this she deemed that the condition was such that I was categorically unable to work.

This following letter is in French, but I thought I'd include it none the less, as it really gives an in depth account of just how disabled I was. It was written by Dr Jean-Marie Wenger, a gynecological expert from Geneva. It certified to my insurance company that I was unable to walk a distance of 200 meters, unable to lift a weight of 2 kilos, I was unable to concentrate on work due to my pain, and that it was impossible for me to bend or kneel because of the pain that doing so would provoke.

And here's a photo of me starting to regain my mobility after starting the treatment that cured me. (For photographic proof of my active post Pudendal Neuralgia life - husky sled riding, mountain climbing, snowshoe walking - see my book.)
